Illyria, God-King of Primordium

(I crawled out of the world, and you said I shouldn't stay.)

I walked worlds of smoke and half-truths, intangible. Worlds of torment and of unnamable beauty. Opaline towers as high as small moons. Glaciers that rippled with insensate lust. And one world with nothing but shrimp. I tired of that one quickly.

Illyria is one of The Old Ones, an ancient demon who was once worshiped as a god, and then confined for millennia in a place known as The Deeper Well. She was called back from her long slumber and placed inside her new vessel, a human known as Winifred Burkle. Though the vessel's mind and soul were consumed in order to give live to Illyria, fragments of her memories and personality remain within Illyria's consciousness.

Finding her old kingdom gone, and her followers long-dead, Illyria is now attempting to fit in as best she can, and not always doing the best job of it.


Unusual Characteristics:

Illyria can occasionally pass for human by taking on the form of her body's former owner, if she chooses, but most of the time she's got a distinctly unnatural blue tinge to her hair, skin, and eyes. She's the essence of an ancient demon-goddess in the body of a human woman, and you can tell that something's a little off about the too-precise way that she speaks, and the slightly unnatural way that she moves about in her new body.

If your pup has an especially keen sense of smell, they might notice that she does not smell like anything at all.


At the point that she is currently being played in canon, she is up-to-date with the comics timeline, which means that she has regained some of her former powers such as the ability to teleport and communicate with plant life. She has also declared herself firmly on the side of good, and as such is trying to follow Angel's lead in atoning for her past. She has spent some time in her world's future helping out, and it is at this point that she will be jumping into Milliways Bar and potentially other places.
